The WP5 Final Workshop on “Biological Waste Management” in Hanoi, Viet Nam, has officially begun today, 25th of June 2018.

This event represents the end of Work Package 5 (“Risk assessment and training on biological waste management and transport”) of the “EU CBRN - CoE – Project 46”, which has the purpose of improving the capacity of several South East Asia countries to address CBRN risks mitigation. In particular, WP5 involves six different countries: Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Cambodia.

The Final Workshop, which foresees the participation of national delegates of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environment, will be led by the two experts Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof Philippe Le Coustumer. The experts will present the outcome of the assessment performed in Work Package 5, focusing on national procedures and guidelines on biowaste management and possible strategies to improve national and regional capacities in this field.
