The National Training Workshop on Biological Waste Management has been successfully kicked off today, Tuesday 22nd May, in Mandalay, Myanmar.
The programme of this four-day workshop envisage presentations delivered by local and international experts, group discussions and practical exercises, with the aim of fostering the interaction between the 30 participants, selected at the national level.
The main goal of the event is, in fact, to analyse the different phases of biowaste management process and to discuss about the roles of the different stakeholders involved in it.
The whole event implementation is counting on the assistance of the National Focal Point of Myanmar and his entire staff, as well as the significant support provided by the experience and the expertise of Dr. Khin Mar Mya, member of the Biorisk Expert Team of Myanmar.
The workshop, part of Work Package 5 “Risk assessment, transport and management of hazardous biological waste” of EU CBRN CoE Project 46, represents the third appointment of a set of training courses planned in six different countries, i.e. Brunei Darussalam, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Viet Nam, the Philippines and Cambodia.
