Courses on "Facility design, construction, operation and management" upcoming in the Philippines and Viet Nam

It is with great pleasure that we announce the dates of the “Facility design, construction, operation and management” Training Course, implemented in the framework of Component 2 – Work Package 3 “Coordination, analysis, and training course development on biosafety, biosecurity and bio-risk management” of the EU CBRN CoE Project 46 “Enhancement of CBRN capacities of South East Asia in addressing CBRN risk mitigation concerning CBRN first response, biosafety and biosecurity, awareness raising and legal framework”.
This Training Course builds on the results of the fact-finding missions in the South-East Asian region and it will provide its participants with an in-depth, practical overview on the design, construction, operation and the maintenance of microbiological laboratory facilities.
Project experts are currently finalizing the needed materials, case studies and exercises that will be used during the Training Course.
The upcoming Training Course will be held in two parts: the first one, from 6th to 10th February, 2017, at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), in Metro Manila, Philippines; while the second one, from 20th to 24th March, 2017, at National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE), in Hanoi, Viet Nam.
