Alessandria, Italy – 30 September 2016.  A presentation of CBRN CoE Project 46’s activities took place in Alessandria (Northern Italy) at the University of Eastern Piedmont, in the framework of the science festival “European Researchers’ Night 2016”

One of the main themes of the event in Alessandria was Science for Peace and Security, with exhibitions, live experiments, didactical workshops, guided tours and dissemination activities showing how science, and in particular Chemistry, can help in building a better and safer world.

More than 2000 people, aged 0-99 years, visited the event venue and the outdoor activities, where a live exhibition on technical aspects of detection, protection and decontamination of CBRN agents was arranged by Key Expert 3, Dr. Matteo Guidotti, in collaboration with personnel of the CBRN Team of the ACISMOM Military Corps – Auxiliary of the Italian Army and of the Department of Advanced Sciences of the University of Eastern Piedmont.

Nearby, a series of posters illustrating the relationships between Ethics and Science was displayed and discussed with experts in the field. Project 46 was here presented by FORMIT with a contribution dedicated to the activities of awareness raising, interagency cooperation and dissemination, promoted by the CBRN CoE initiative in the South-East Asia region.
